Updated Rules

The Rules that follow will apply to the Motocross (Outdoor) and Supercross seasons. We have made the points and scoring the same for both seasons. The overall placing for the two(2) motos will then be converted to the scoring sheet.  Supercross Lights (250's) will follow both the East and West as one.

Each week a player will pick four(4) racers and one(1) hole shot pick. Each player can pick any four riders. The first race of the season players will receive the points awarded to the racer. So on the first race of the season only, you want to pick who you think will take 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.  Every race after that the player should pick racers who they think will do better than the current overall standings.  If player picks a racer that is ranked 10th overall and the racer takes 2nd in that race, player will receive 11 points.  If player picks a racer that is ranked 3rd overall and the racer takes 8th player will receive (-7) points.  So, the KEY is to pick racers that you think will do better than thier overall standings in that current race.  Another example.  If Bubba crashes out in the first race and takes last, and is going to race the next race.  It would be wise to pick him, because he would be ranked at 20th and if he wins the race with a 1st place, you would get 24 points.  It is up to the player to know who is racing and who is not. If a player picks a rider that is not racing that week, he/she will receive zero(0) points for that racer. Players may have the same riders picked as other player. But it is highly unlikely that players will pick the same riders each week of the series. If a rider picked is ranked greater than 20, he will be scored on the standing as 20. In the Motocross season, the pick for hole shot will count if he gets it in either moto. If the player picks the hole shot, they get five(5) points added to the weeks total. There is a spread sheet that explains the points breakdown for the scoring method of the race standings. That spread sheet is in the scoring section of the website. Points are accumulated through the whole season and the winner is determined after the last race. Each week we will post a sheet showing the points and standings of all the players. All picks are to be sent to us by midnight before the race. If players do not give us picks by then they will not have picks and score zero(0) points for that week. We are not perfect and are doing this mostly for fun. So if you have issues or problems please let us know. Our ruling on disputes are final and we have the ultimate say.

Ties will be broken by totaling the hole shot points for the whole season.  Who ever has the highest total points from hole shots, will win.  If the totals are the same then it will be the highest score on the last race.  If still the same, then the highest score on the previous race until one has a higher score.

The entrance to play is free, donations of $20 per season, would be appreciated. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd. 50% for 1st, 30% for 2nd, and 10% for 3rd. At the end of each season there will be a winner picked. Placed player will be able to help pick the location of gift certificate.

Supercross 2011

We will be getting ready for the next season and it will be bigger and better.  Stick with us.  We will be doing two separate groups next season.  One for the 450's and one for the 250's.  Tell everyone, friends, family motorcycle junkies, posers ( you know the guys that think they know who is who).  We want more people.

2010 Motocross Season WINNER

Telly is the winner, Cody B 2nd and Mark 3rd.  These three will get gift certificates to a place of their choosing.  Most likely a motorcycle store to their choice.  Telly will hold the trophy until the winner of supercross is awarded.

TROPHY

We are in the process of making a trophy for the winner.  This trophy will be held by the winner from the time that he/she wins the season until the next seasons winner is crowned.  Like the Stanley Cub, this trophy will be passed on from one winner to the next.  It's bragging rights while the winner is holding the trophy.  Each seasons winner will get a small plaque with their name and the season attached to the trophy.

Race 1 Hangtown Motocross 2010

Notes

Well the first race is here with just a few hang ups.  We were a little laxed on the rule of getting the picks to us by Thursday.  From here on out you must get your picks to us by Thursday, midnight before the race.  If you don't, you will score a 0.  Not good.

The first race 'only' does the player get the points that is awarded.  Remember, the next races you want to pick racers that will do better then their current standings.  It is now time for you to study the scoring matrix.  Example,  you pick a rider ranked at 10 and he takes 3rd, you get 9 points.  If you pick the racer ranked 1st and he take 1st, 0 points are awarded.

Please let us know if there are any mistakes.  Also comment any time about the rules, if they are bad, unclear, or if you think you can make them better.
